Jessica Silvetti is a writer and director, whose distinctive voice is a result of her unconventional upbringing. Jessica is constantly developing projects with a passion and emphasis on creating complex and diverse characters for women. She is a member of the Alliance of Women Directors, Chicana Directors Initiative, and Film Fatales. Silvetti is also Co-Founder of Light & Shadow Pictures.

ARTISTIC PHILOSOPHY

My vision is based on the emotional arc of a character. I love finding the color, the texture, and the rhythm of a piece. It’s about envisioning the world the character inhabits and bringing it to life - lifting it off the black and white page and elevating characters and their world to create something that audiences connect with and at times may even be transformed by.
